realationship between China and Korea

The reason that I choose the article is I am interested in international interaction between China and Korea. In addition, this circumstance which the unprecedented earthquake took place on 12th of May highlights diplomacy of East-Asia countries.

In the first place, South Korean Foreign Minister, Chairman of GNP and Singaporean Ambassador to Seoul visited the Chinese Embassy on 19th of May in order to express condolences and appease Chinese’s inexpressible desperation. In any case, it seems China deserves to be consoled by foreigners and we should help China rebuild infrastructure and economy. However, the key point I want to say is not in relation to the surface behaviours. The most important comment is that not only Korea, but also different countries do not ignore by the tragedy in China. Various countries have aid sufferers with relief goods and specialised rescue teams from other countries have participate actively and enthusiastically in rescue activities.

Even though the fact about rescue teams is not reported concretely in the article, we should recognise harmonious cooperation with other countries. Furthermore, we should help another country's catastrophe in order to achieve East-Asia's peach

globalisation of movies

How has the globalisation affected the Korean film industry? Firstly, Korean movies are shown all over the world. Secondly, the diverse range of movies from other countries which can be seen in Korea such as European, Indian and even north Korean movies. By the tremendous shock, Korean movies have become famous. However oppositely, our homegrown movies in Korea are being lost its status.

Firstly, advantages of the globalisation can satisfy our interests by watching foreign films. Over the last 2decades, movies from India, Europe, South American and even North Korea are easy to contact in Korea because of various film festivals such as Canne, Berlin, Venice and local festivals in Korea. They show not only art films, but also commercial block buster to boost the globalisation of movies. Furthermore, the government did not allow importing Japanese culture due to historical matters until 90s. However, these days, we can easily meet them.

Secondly, cultural exchanges happen in Korea enthusiastically. Popular Korean culture called the Korean wave has dominated in Asia such as Japan, China and Vietnam so famous actors are welcomed and appear in the countries’ soap operas. For example, a famous actor Yong-Jun Bae who boasts overwhelming popularity in Japan appeared in a Japanese movie. Furthermore, Korean actors have advanced not only Asian countries, but also the USA. Directors and movie companies send lovecalls to them for movie making. Recently, a actor Ji-Hun Jung acted a American movie called the Speed Racer by directors who made the matrix trilogy.

On the other hand, the globalisation has bad effect on Korean movie industry. The screen quota system which is that local cinemas should be required to fill 40percents of their programs with home grown movies is threatened by the globalisation. In other words, it protects our movie industry. However, in the name of the globalisation, The USA claim the regulation and free market principle to abolish the system. If we abolished the system, our films would not produce a number of films and are getting smaller. Additionally, copyrights are infringed by the Internet. Illegal copying has widely spread through the Internet. For example, Korea is notorious for piracy productions so movie companies release new movies at first in Korean before piracy comes out.

Future plans of my class mates.

This is about future plans of my class mates. Most students desire to go to school to achieve what they want. Some have special plans to fulfil their hope.

There are 11students in my class. Audrey and Theresa want to go to design school. Especially, Audrey mentioned she wants to be a designer in a local company. Duu hopes to get a degree in nursing, and then he wants to return to his family and serve the people in PNG. Ally also wants to get qualification associated with technology at Unitec. Aki wants to graduate from university in Japan.

On the other hand, Jesse is bound to teach English for children as a freelancer tutor. Joey wants to work his own business and Sopheng wants to gain real professional work experiences. Choi wants to work at the airport if he can English fluently. If Timmy has a permanent job, he will create his own family in New Zealand

Hello. I am from An-Yang which is a project city to prevent the urban sprawl and which is located in the middle of Korea, near Seoul. My Korean name is Kyung-Deok Seo, which is such a famous name in Korean history. I have been living in NZ for 9months. I am an international student living in the city with my older brother. Actually, I do not do particular hobbies in my spare time so I do not have something to say.

My father is a mathematical teacher in Korea, my mother is a house keeper and my brother is studying English in New Zealand the same as me. I am an unmarried person. Therefore, I do not have any children. I hope to become a good parent. If I have children, I will bring them up well as I could.

My Future plan is to pass this course, and then I will work in Korea with my major. I feel English is difficult for me to learn. Above all, Speaking is one of weakness aspects. Unfortunately, I cannot decide what aspect strength is in English. I need more practices.

I have been to two countries, China and New Zealand. The former was for travelling, the latter is for studying. Especially, I have been to 90mile beach in last summer, which is located at the top of New Zealand. It was so funny, because I drove a car frantically on the beach without a driver licence. I worked in the theatre as a light operator. I saw famous actors’ acting in awe so many times. It was a great experience which cannot be replaced by any other.
